The International Piano Festival “Music Floralia” in Powsin

The Festival takes place in the Polish Academy of Sciences Botanical Gardens in Powsin on the outskirts of Warsaw. Pianists perform on the terrace of Villa Janówek (painter Wojciech Fangor’s former mansion). Decorative plants and bushes and old oaks provide a gorgeous setting for this music event.

The originator and artistic director of the “Music Floralia-Music in Flowers” Festival is Anna Maria Stańczyk. Every year since 1996, on all Sundays from mid-May to late June, recognised Polish and foreign pianists perform in Powsin, and talented music school students have the opportunity (Young Pianists’ Stage) to display their skills.
