Background: In the months when the weather discourages open-air events, the Podchorążówka building and, currently, the Palace on the Isle are the venues which host fascinating spectacles. The project, “Chopin. Music. Letters”, is a series of concerts held on some Sundays. They feature Chopin’s music performed by excellent pianists and interspersed with the composer’s letters to his family, friends and publishers. The letters are read expressively by popular Warsaw actors.
As of 2008 the Fryderyk Chopin Society organises a series of concerts called Chopin. Music. Letters. These are Chopin music recitals with popular actors reading the composer’s letters. The concerts are held on Sundays at 12.00 in the Podchorążówka concert hall from February to April and again from October to December. Admission is free.
